Pink Band Campaign is a place to learn, listen and show up for breast cancer awareness. A small band on a wrist can be the opening line for a conversation that someone has been avoiding.
Use the Deck Tree to find official screening guidance, support and a trusted place to donate. Use the posts to read, reflect and add your own voice.
You do not need the perfect words. You just need to begin.

About waiting rooms. About telling family. About being the person who goes with someone. About the jokes that help and the ones that do not.
This is an open thread. Share as much or as little as you want. No advice, no fixing — just listening.
Know your normal.
Breast awareness starts with noticing what is usual for you: how your breasts and chest normally look and feel, and what changes are new or persistent.
If you notice a change, contact a qualified clinician. Do not wait for a perfect symptom or a convenient month. Screening recommendations vary by age, personal risk and country; follow the guidance that applies to you.

The Pink Band Walk.
Sunday, 16 May 2027 · 10am · Toronto
A 3 km walk through the park, accessible and family-friendly. Bring a band, bring a friend, bring the person who always says “I’m fine” and then changes the subject.
There will be a quiet room, water, snacks and no pressure to speak. Register by emailing [email protected] with the number of people joining you.

Pink Band is a small campaign with a simple job: make the conversation easier to start.
Nora keeps the campaign honest. Dr. Amara keeps the language responsible. Lena keeps the human side close. Sam makes sure there is a room, a route and a reason to show up.
We are not clinicians here to diagnose you. We are people who want the people we love to feel less alone.
Support looks like…
A lift to an appointment. A meal with no instructions attached. A text that says “I’m here, no need to reply.” Taking the kids for an afternoon. Remembering the date. Asking what kind of help is actually useful today.
Support is not one grand gesture. It is a hundred small ones, offered without making the person manage your feelings about their health.

Why I started Pink Band.
Someone I love found a change and almost waited. Not because she was careless — because she was busy, scared and convinced it was probably nothing.
The pink band is not a diagnosis, a cure or a promise. It is a small visible reminder to ask the question earlier, to check in with the people we love, and to make the conversation less frightening than silence.
Wear it. Start the conversation. Then follow the guidance of a qualified clinician.
